Enemas. Their purpose, and benefits

With an enema, you remove retained waste material (impacted faeces, dead cellular tissue, accumulated mucous, parasites, worms, etc.) from the colon.

Firstly, this material is quite toxic and poses several problems. These poisons can re-enter and circulate in the bloodstream making us feel unwell, tired or weak. The impacted material can impair the colon's ability to assimilate minerals and bacteria-produced vitamins and cause the colon to become sluggish, causing constipation or irritable bowel.

Once the impacted material is removed the colon will begin to function as it was intended. An enema can be a rejuvenating treatment which also exercises the colon. The gentle filling and emptying will improve muscular contraction which actively and naturally moves material. The impacted material can alter the shape of the colon, enemas assist in resuming its natural shape.

Every system and organ of the body is connected to the colon by reflex points. Enemas act by stimulating these points, thereby affecting the corresponding body parts in a beneficial way.

Q. How do I prepare a coffee enema.

3 Tablespoons of coffee per liter of water (work up to this amount) starting with 1-2 level tablespoons. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Let the coffee cool to body temperature then use.

For optimal results, always use organic coffee, which is mold free. Filtered, distilled or spring water once boiled, can be used.

Q. Can coffee enemas make me feel weird or different?

During and after an enema, many people experience no noticeable sensations or bodily changes, other than a bowel movement to release the coffee. this doesn't mean the coffee isn't working, its normal. There are various sensation people have reported which could include, light-headedness, energy surges, runny nose, mild headache, feeling cold or having another bowel movement later in the day. These are all fairly common and not cause for alarm.

Q. How will I know the coffee enema is working?

Enemas are generally used for cleansing the liver. When your liver dumps toxins, they dump into the small intestine or out through the urine via the blood and kidneys, so you don't really know its happening in most cases. Having said that, Coffee enemas are also helpful in cleaning out the large intestine/colon which will go towards relieving the symptoms of constipation.

Q. Is it normal I don't have a bowel movement on my own for a while after an enema?

Yes, an enema can delay a normal bowel movement because the coffee enema is clearing out any material in the end segments of the large intestine. It may take a couple of days for stool matter to build up.

Q. Do enemas have to be done on an empty stomach?

No, coffee enemas can be done anytime including before and, after meals.

What kind of water should be used?

Filtered, Spring or distilled.

Our tips.....

Use only ground coffee medium/dark roast. Organic is best.

Always ensure the air has been removed from the tube by allowing the fluid to run through before insertion.

Always ensure you allow yourself time after evacuation to massage the stomach both anti-clockwise/clockwise to help the gas pass.

Ensure you clean all your equipment adequately.
